IMAGINEERING
Ever wonder where that word came from? Well, it came from Walt Disney, you know - the guy that invented Mickey Mouse and Disney Land! He called the people that made the first theme park Imagineers!
Guess What? YOU too are one of those! Trust me, you do it every day! YOU imagine what your life will be like with your thoughts. So, how is your life? Are you HAPPY? Are you PROSPEROUS? Are you with friends that adore you and treat you with the utmost respect? Do people rush to meet you when you appear at a function or on their front door step? Are you gainfully employed by a company and cannot wait to get to work? Is your house full of laughter and harmony?
If you cannot answer yes to any of those questions, perhaps you had better start your IMAGINEERING all over again. You can begin by taking a closer look at what you are thinking about all day. Are your thoughts POSITIVE? Thinking positive is what starts the whole process; you can’t have negative thinking and expect positive results. It’s impossible!
The library is full of self-help books that will point you into the right direction. When I first started on this journey I learned that one of the reasons I had little money was because I didn’t RESPECT money. Did you know that money is the lifeblood of your whole life? People work for money, thus money is equated to how well you live. If you suffer from lack, it shows in your whole demeanor, how you act, where you can go and what you can do. The universe doesn’t care what you earn, if you SETTLE for very little in your life; that is exactly what you will get!
Start a new life by learning how to use affirmations. AFFIRMATIONS are POSITIVE THINKING and ACTIONS – that signify you are changing your self from the inside out!
Until next time, have fun recreating yourself, when ever you look for improvements to your life, you will find them, they will come to you also, in the form of new friends, new ideas and your life will become EXCITING – just like you IMAGINED IT TO BE…
MUCH LOVE,
Barbara Tracy

On Being An Older Mom,

Just Slow Down
What's all the rush about? I have found myself over the years packing way too much into a small space of time and wondering why I feel stressed, engage in self destructive old habits ( for me, it ishows up as using food as a stress reliever) and in general, discontent and or anxiety. And all the while---I just couldn't stop from being sooo darn busy. Ya, know??---and even knowing better!!
As society, we all think that multi tasking is just what we have to do to keep up with all the stuff going on right now in our lives. But that's just not true. That is a fallacy that we have made up and bought.
Just a couple of weeks ago there was even a 60 Minutes that talked about this. The couple they interviewed was able to work about 18 hours a day---using their palm pilot, hands free cell phone and computer while typing, talking and driving all at the same time---(they even frequently got up in the middle of the night to do work) to me, it was insane and they were loving' it. There are even parts of our society that revere that behavior.
"The Master never hurries!" It's one of my favorite phrases. (I'lll even add, "The Master never needs to do 14 things at once."
God gives us 24 hours every single day--how much time to we give back to God? Have you made your life so busy that even one hour of prayer and meditation is just too much for you. Time to re-prioritize. And with kids it makes it so we have to plan even more to get our "direct connect" to God in. Needless to say--now I have to get up at 4:40. I would never have been willing to do this in the past. Which means I have to go to bed much earlier than I used to---which translates into doing less stuff!!!
Knowing something in theory and living the action you wish to see in your own life is so very different. So.... stop......breath. Start by being very gentle with yourself. Smile a sweet smile and promise yourself that you will slow down today and make the time for God in your busy day. Baby steps , OK? Start with 5 minutes. Make nothing more important and just watch the miraculous way your day goes. When we're slowed down we fret less, fear less, trust more and feel the joy and gratefulness in each and every moment.
You just don't' have to push this hard--in the big picture it's just not that important.
What helped me the most was my Reiki TUMMO and Open Heart prayer meditation practices. I still do too much---I'm not "cured" but I'm so much better. Markedly better. Bottom line---I'm a much better mommy and person to all whom I meet. If you are at all interested--google Reiki TUMMO and follow the links.
All in the name of Love,
Lindee
Quote for the Week
If you resist or serve from a place of resentment and irritation, it will come back on you.
If you serve with loving concern and kindness, you will be rewarded more than you ever thought possible, and that reward may be the ability to do more.
- John-Roger
May you be a living blessing to all that you meet!
With love and blessings,
