While She Discovers Life
ADVERSITY
I could write a book about that; and life does teach us lessons, but without it I would not be the person I am today, nor would I be married to the most loving, kind and generous person I call Honey...
Sometimes we just sit down and talk about all the goodness in our lives, family, friends and goals. He discusses with me the many people in and out of the nicotine anonymous meetings he attends, and how, if they stay with the meetings, they truly do quit, become healthier and sometimes with new confidence find new lives!
One individual worked for such a terrible boss that every time (and often) she was treated unjustly she would have a cigarette! When she quit smoking, she documented every thing she could about her boss and within a year her boss was gone; better yet - SHE became the boss!
In one instance in my life, when my ex walked out, my self-esteem was at the bottom of the barrel... Somehow I thought even a bad marriage was better than the unknown! Now I know the truth, better to trust the future and fill yourself with dreams of "what could be" rather than to have a un-lived life! Because of that ONE decision here I am living in LOVE - looking forward to every day God gives me! What a wonderful change!

And On The Lighter Side
While working for an organization that delivers lunches to elderly
shut-ins, I used to take my 4-year-old daughter on my afternoon rounds. The
various appliances of old age, particularly the canes, walkers and
wheelchairs, unfailingly intrigued her. One day I found her staring at a
pair of false teeth soaking in a glass. As I braced myself for the
inevitable barrage of questions, she merely turned and whispered, "The tooth
fairy will never believe this!"
On Being An Older Mom

The founder of Unity, Charles Filmore, had been known to say, "If I could have renamed Unity, I would have named it "change" because it's the only real thing we can count on.!"
I wanted to run in and add the words, "Besides God" but if this really is an ever changing universe than that must also mean that God is evolving too. What used to work so well for us was re-thinking things but that act is still not as effective as using our very own heart to think.
The spark of the Divine lives in us and can only have it's way when we have let the heart dominate our lives. The brain can be a nice mediator, and the gut lets us know about the emotional aspects of things but the inner heart must be the director and our direct connect to True Source.
