Dear Hearts,
It’s wonderful to have heroes. Jesus is a great and mighty hero, as is Moses, the Buddha, Ghandi, Mother Teresa, Dr. King, etc. The mission of all great heroes isn’t just to inspire and uplift us, the mission of all great heroes is to show what’s possible for us.
The great saints and avatars throughout the ages have all issued us an invitation… not to worship or copy them but to walk the path they have tread spreading our unique talents and gifts along the way.
We have the opportunity to walk the path of the blessed peacemakers and we are invited to bring peace to others and to our surroundings. We have the opportunity to walk the path of the compassionate hearts and are invited to bring compassion into the lives of those we encounter. We are invited to walk the path of the great lovers of this earth and we are invited to anchor love in all that we say and do as only we can say and do it.
The hero resides within each of us. It is up to us to call forth the hero that we are and go forward in our own world doing heroic acts of love, compassion, forgiveness and kindness. We are here to leave our own heroic legacy… and we are invited to begin our very own hero’s journey today.
