While She Discovers Life

HEARTS WIDE OPEN
by Barbara Tracy, RScP

MEETING AND GREETING

In case you wondered what happened after we bought our RV, all is well! After our big trip in September of 2008 we really haven’t been out and about for many reasons…

Were ON THE ROAD AGAIN… As Willie Nelson likes to sing!

Right now we are situated in the California desert, just to admire all of the spring flowers, of which we have missed a lot because of over 90 degree hot spells that destroy them very quickly! Nonetheless, this is such a perfect way to meet such delightful people in this grand old land! It certainly makes us happy to be so fortunate to live this lifestyle!

Never in my life have I felt so loving toward these beautiful strangers that enter into our presence; some of them have been in the RV for years and give information most graciously as we ask questions that only newbie’s need to know! Others, like us are learning as they go from one fantastic place to another!

We talk to them about problems with the RV’s, of which can happen at anytime, anywhere. But, they seem to know, as we do that with SPRIIT and being grounded in FAITH no matter what - we will continue on to get to the other side of the mountain in safety and awe… And what a mountain we came down a few days ago! With so many switchbacks we had to mind our P’s and Q’s as we gently made those curves keeping an eye on our tow vehicle all the way!

We met a beautiful lady at the Chamber of Commerce of this relatively little city, STAR, and she has been in the RV for several years, big ones, often hauling a car along, all by herself and mentioned that there is even an organization for women RVers only! Yep, we’ve come a long way, BABY!

So we will put on a happy face, keep our positive attitude and ask for guidance and remaining in touch with SPIRIT as we go forward MEETING AND GREETING…

UNTIL NEXT TIME, Much Love to you and yours, Barbara Tracy

And On The Lighter Side

Some ecclesiastical gentlemen -- a cardinal, a couple of bishops and some others -- were waiting outside the Pearly Gates for St. Peter to open up.

He finally arrived, but just they were about to enter heaven St. Peter asked them to wait a moment and let a new arrival through first.

A sweet young thing in a mini-skirt arrived and was ushered through. The cardinal was a bit upset about this and demanded an explanation from St. Peter. After all, they had been waiting outside for quite some time and were pillars of the church. How could a girl in a mini-skirt deserve better treatment?

St. Peter smiled and told him: "While she was alive, that young lady drove a little yellow sports car. She regularly jumped red lights, overtook on blind corners, and generally scared the devil out of more people than all of you combined."

REMINDER
When we love ourselves and others, we are loving God.

Have a great week!

With love and blessings,

Rev. Barbara

“Give and it shall be given you: good measure, pressed down…and running over…”
Luke 6:38

Dear Hearts,

How many of us go through life afraid of giving? We might have a thought process (sometimes subconsciously) that if we give, whether its our time, money, love, creativity, talent, etc. we might not have enough left or we’ll run out entirely.

Sometimes we try to “hang on” to what we have have just in case there might not be any more to come. When we live our lives this way, we're living with a lack and limitation consciousness.

Let’s imagine that we’re trying to hold on to what we have – it’s as though we’ve closed our fist so that it can't escape. However when we have a closed fist, nothing can be placed in our hands. If we open our hands and allow our gifts to flow freely, we see that we are in a receptive mode and we’re ready to receive.

If we’re feeling lack or limitation in any area of our life, we can immediately begin to change that situation by simply giving more, knowing that the more we give the more we’ll receive because that’s how the Law of Cause and Effect works – and it always works, it never fails.

So today, let’s give more in every area of our life ~ more of our love, more of our creativity, more of our money, more of our time, more of our joy, etc. We can then know with absolute assurance that as we give...we will most definitely receive.

With love and blessings,

Rev. Barbara

“Every moment of our lives, Spirit is right there with us, ready to move into our experience with all of Its power and goodness the moment we provide the outlet.”
Marianne Williamson

Dear Hearts,

We are not born to do this life alone. Though often we make a decision to do life alone, albeit subconsciously. If we are attempting life alone, our lives will often seem like an endless struggle and extremely difficult. Our lives will seem as though we’re climbing a rocky mountain with no end in sight and just when we seem to make progress on our climb we end up falling back down only to have to start our climb all over again. Sound familiar?

Sometimes we make a decision to walk life’s path alone because we’re afraid to invite God into our lives…afraid that God might do more harm than good, afraid that we may be punished for some perceived wrongdoing. And all of the time we have a great and mighty God just waiting to enter our lives. The catch is that God will never come uninvited.

What are we inviting when we invite God into our lives? What the great saints and avatars have all told us about God is that God is Goodness and Love. Therefore, when we take the step to invite God into our lives, we are inviting Goodness and Love into our relationships, into our work environment, into the health and vitality of our body temple, into every nook and cranny of our lives. When we invite God into our lives, our lives can do only one thing and that is get better and better.

Why would we hesitate? Today, let's issue the invitation!

With love and blessings,

Rev. Barbara

“LEAVE YOUR NETS”
Joel S. Goldsmith

Dear Hearts,

Not long ago, a friend of mine turned down a wonderful new position because he didn’t feel he had the necessary qualifications. Later, after much thought and prayer, he realized he was more than qualified for that job however, in order to take the new position he had to “leave the net” of his current job, a net that kept him very secure within his own prescribed comfort zone.

It’s easy for all of us to become so placid that we have little desire to move beyond the life that we know. However, that is not why we’ve been created. We have been created to show forth the glory of God through our daily lives. We have been created to continually explore more loving and creative ways to live our lives and give our gifts. We have been created to journey down the path of growth and expansion, spiritually, mentally and emotionally.

Marianne Williamson said it so beautifully, “Our playing small serves no one”. We have within us a voice that is forever saying, “My precious child...fear not ~ leave your nets.”

Will this be the day we heed the call? Will today be the day we move ahead and leave at least one of our self-imposed safety nets behind? How might that look for us, today?

With love and blessings,

Rev. Barbara
