Love is in the air...

<.center>"I would like to have engraved inside every wedding band, 'Be kind to one another'. This is the Golden Rule of marriage and the secret of making love last through the years."
Randolph Ray

Dear Hearts,

Today is Valentine's Day and more than any other day, our attention is drawn to the word "love". How could we ever define the multiple faces of love? One definition could never suffice. However as we read the above quote, a very practical, profound yet simple word is used, "kindness". What good does it do us to profess our love for our spouse, significant other, our families, friends, ourselves, if we don't show our love through kindness? Kind acts, kind thoughts, kind deeds.

What can we do to be kinder? Perhaps before we act, speak, or send a letter, or E-mail we might ask ourselves one question, "Is this the kind thing to say or do?" And if there is any doubt in our minds that it's not, than we don't do it, say it or send it. If we adopted such a policy, our lives and our relationships would soar to a whole different level.

In the Bible as well as throughout Hindu scriptures, the term "loving kindness" is woven throughout the pages...these aren't just words, they are invitations to us to conduct our lives in such a way that all those who come in contact with us or those who walk the way with us are surrounded and blessed by the loving kindness that we express in every area of our lives.

With love and blessings,

Barbara
