Dear Hearts,

What can we learn from Hillary Swank’s amazing adventure? We might learn that this could happen to any one of us. Our dreams may not be to win an Academy Award, but whatever our dreams might be we too can have them come true…even if it seems to be impossible.

Many of us want to play it safe. We think about our dreams, talk about our dreams, dream about our dreams, but never take the necessary steps to make our dreams a reality. However, we aren't here to play it safe! A wise and loving Universe has created each of us for a specific purpose and given each of us unique dreams that enable us to fulfill that purpose.

When we're brave enough to follow our dreams, Thoreau tells us that we come under a higher order of beings and events begin to happen to us that are beyond our human scope of doing. Emerson said it well, “The dice of God are always loaded.”

German philosopher Goethe's put it this way:

“Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issue from the decision, raising in ones favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance which no man could have dreamed would have come his way.”

Author Sara Ban Breathnach says: “For God’s sake and your own, just say yes!”
