Dear Hearts,
Are we aware that we have a choice about what attitude we bring to this day? We’ve all heard people say, “I got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning!” But that’s a choice we make! We also can choose to begin our day with the thought, “Today, I’m getting up on the right side of the bed and it’s going to be a great day”! We can start our day waiting for the other shoe to fall or start our day expecting a beautiful new pair of shoes. It’s all our choice!
We have the opportunity to bring a positive attitude to this day. We have the opportunity to trust that there is a Power for Good in this Universe that continually works for our good. However, if our attitude is a negative one…it’s very difficult for us to recognize or receive that good!
What if we committed to having a positive attitude today…no matter what! So often we go through our day labeling everything that happens good or bad. Good news, bad news, good cup of coffee, bad cup of coffee, etc, etc., and our moods swings right along with our labeling. Each of us will go through this day with many petty trials and tribulations, but none of them are worth taking us into a down hill spiral.
No one can put us in a “bad” mood without our consent (though we like to think they can!). We have twenty-four irreplaceable hours ahead of us. Will we grouse our way through this day? Or will we choose to live positively? Today, it’s all about our choice.
